About ILC
International Learner Coaching (ILC) started in January 2024 as a network of coaches who have backgrounds in international schooling as teachers, leaders and parents. We understand that it can be hard to know whether or not a school might be a good fit for ourselves or our children. Websites and hear-say are not always enough. Also, understnading the landscape of the international school network and ways in which professional identities can grow can also be opaque.
We are here to support international educators and parents to navigate the world of international schools so that you can have your best international experience as an internationally mobile person. We offer one-on-one coaching in hybrid and virtual environments with ongoing support of strategies for short-term and long-term results in life-transitions and professional learning in the international school context.
Meet the Founder
Dr Tanya Nizam has two decades of experience working in international schools in the Netherlands, Singapore, Vietnam, Egypt and China. She is also a school evaluator and has been a pedagogical coach for private education groups in India and Egypt.
She has a doctorate in educational leadership with a focus on how teachers experience work in international schools. In particular:
